Matt Gerald is an American actor. He guest stars as SEAL Officer Gil Langston in the Last Resort first season premiere "Captain". He has been active since 1998 and has also appeared in Last Resort co-creator Shawn Ryan's earlier series Lie To Me, The Unit, and The Shield. He has also appeared in the films Magnolia (1999), Tigerland (2000), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), and Avatar (2009).

Biography[]

A graduate of The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, Gerald is best known for his role as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet in James Cameron's sci-fi thriller, Avatar. His other film credits include The Minus Man (1999), Magnolia (1999), Tigerland (2000), S.W.A.T. (2003), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), In the Mix (2005), XXX: State of the Union (2005), Elektra Luxx (2010), and Faster (2010).

On television he's had recurring roles on The Shield, The Unit, and Life, and has guest-starred on Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior, CSI: Miami, NCIS: Los Angeles, Lie To Me, Saving Grace, Without A Trace, and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In 2010 he guest starred in the Lie to Me second season episode "Lack of Candor" as Marshal Johnson. He played Unit member Beau Dauber for three episodes of The Unit from 2006 to 2008. He played Krebbs in two episodes of the first season of the crime drama Life in 2007. He played Officer Tommy Hisk in the third season of Shawn Ryan's crime drama The Shield in 2004.
